4. Remove the heart rate bracket.
A. Using a Phillips head
screwdriver, remove the three
screws that hold the lower back
of the console in place and
gently pull the back off. NOTE:
Gently suspend the back by the
wires, being careful not to
damage any of the wires.
B. Using a Phillips head
screwdriver, remove the nine
black screws that hold the
console front to the handrail.
NOTE: Do not loose the
starwasher that is under the
CSAFE jumper terminal. See
Figure 25.
C. Lift the console front off the
treadmill and place it on a clean,
flat surface.
D. If there is a nut on the heart rate
board screw remove it using a
1/4” nutdriver and discard it.
E. Using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the two screws that hold the heart rate
board in place.
F. Turn the heart rate board over and use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the
screw from the heart rate bracket. See Figure 26.
5. Attach the heart rate bracket and new heart rate board.
A. Place the screw removed during step 4F into the heart rate board from the bottom.
See Figure 26.
B. Place the short end of the heart rate bracket over the screw on the heart rate board
with the standoff touching the board. See Figure 26.
C. Using a Phillips head screwdriver, attach the heart rate board to the console with the
two screws removed in step 4E.
D. Be sure the cable is still firmly connected in the right side of the heart rate board. See
Figure 26.
NOTE: If you are replacing the CSAFE board follow steps 6 and 7. If not skip to step 8.
